The latest version of Anthropics’ PortraitPro retouching software includes updated image recognition, a customisable restore brush and advanced layers functions.

Powered by the latest developments in image recognition, deep learning and artificial intelligence, PortraitPro 18 is the most advanced product to date. Facial feature finding and background masking is now faster and more accurate and, for the first time, users can remove all edits from an area with the improved Restore Brush. This allows retouchers to work with much more complex images, where part of the face is obscured by glasses or other accessories. The new Layers menu lets users add overlays to portraits for the first time, providing scope for adding logos, watermarks or stickers and creating artistic double exposures.
The new Smart Filter capability, which is exclusive to PortraitPro 18 Studio and Studio Max editions, makes switching between Photoshop and PortraitPro 18 easy and allows portraits to be customised to suit the photographer’s clients.
