- Betrayed is the sequel to The Frozen Sky by Jeff Carlson, an author who has had a number of novels which seem to be a mixture of self-published and traditionally published works. The Frozen Sky was a terrific read, so I was quite eager to see what he did with the sequel.

My blog Thoughts on Papyrus has now been in operation for more than a year and I feature book reviews of classics (especially existentialist literature), contemporary fiction, historical fiction, non-fiction, science-fiction, mystery, thriller, and translated fiction. I like to draw attention to books and authors that are little known in English-speaking countries, such as to certain Japanese, South Korean and French writers, and I also like to discuss issues present in books in great depth.
